TNT MedStaffing, an APP-owned and operated medical staffing group, is seeking an experienced Physician Associate (PA)/Emergency Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team at Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital—a critical access facility in Burlington, Colorado. This opportunity is ideal for a competent and independent PA who thrives in a rural, underserved community and is passionate about delivering high-quality emergency care.

About the Facility:
Kit Carson Memorial Hospital is located at 286 16th St, Burlington, CO - approximately 30 minutes west of the Colorado/Kansas border. As a rural emergency department, we see an average of 7–9 patients over a 24-hour period in a 4-bed ED. You’ll have access to on-site CT and X-ray 24/7, with MRI and ultrasound available Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. We have 13 hospital beds with limited admitting capabilities to our TNT hospitalists.
Role Description:
This contract position provides direct emergency medical care in a rural critical access setting. You will work independently at the top of your license to assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the ED with various medical/traumatic emergencies.
Work Schedule and Compensation:

Shift Structure: 24-hour shifts; most providers work two consecutive days

Pay: $2,000/day (1099 contractor status)

Required Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 3 years of independent experience in Emergency Medicine
-
Active Colorado PA/NP license
-
DEA license
-
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications

Proficient in emergency procedures, including:
-
Advanced airway management
-
Central line placement
-
Chest tube placement
-
Suturing
-
Lumbar punctures
-

PT Inpatient APP
Hospitalist (Inpatient Medicine) - Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner

​TNT MedStaffing, an APP-owned and operated medical staffing group, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our inpatient hospitalist team at Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital—a critical access hospital in Burlington, Colorado.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly capable and independent APP who is passionate about rural medicine and comfortable managing a variety of hospitalized adult patients with limited on-site specialty support.

About the Facility:
Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital is located at 286 16th St, Burlington, CO—about 30 minutes from the Colorado/Kansas border. The hospital has 13 inpatient beds and is a vital healthcare hub for the local and surrounding rural communities.
As a member of our hospitalist team, you’ll work closely with supervising physicians while practicing at the top of your license—admitting, rounding, managing, and discharging patients. Diagnostic support includes 24/7 access to X-ray and CT, with MRI and ultrasound available on weekdays.
Role Description:
This contracted NP/PA position focuses on the acute care management of adult hospitalized patients. You will participate in all aspects of inpatient medicine, including:

Admissions and discharges
-
Dual daily rounds and care coordination
-
Patient and family communication
-
Diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making
-
And possibly providing backup to the ER provider
Providers must be able to function independently, collaborate with a collaborating physician, and work as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
Work Schedule and Compensation:

Shift Structure: 24-hour shifts; typical schedule is 4 consecutive days/month or more based on availability

Pay: $1,700/day (1099 contractor status)

Housing: Provided during shifts (directly across the street from the hospital)

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Hospitalist or in inpatient adult medicine
-
Active Colorado NP or PA license
-
DEA license
-
BLS and ACLS (AHA) certification (PALS optional but welcomed)

Experience with admissions, rounding, discharge planning, and coordination of care
-
Proficiency in managing chronic and acute medical conditions independently
